I live off-grid with my partner in the gorgeous Scenic Rim of Sout East Queensland. The environment is at the top of our minds in everything we do. We have 50 acres of remnant forest on the edge of a steep, winding mountian road, which is a valuable wildlife corridor that we have dedicated ourselves to remove the weeds and regenerate to it's natural state of a dry sclerophyll forest.
We've planted over 3000 trees in the past four years, with plenty more to go into the ground. We also run a small native nursery called Lamington Native Nursery where we sell our native trees and bush tucker as well as my pottery and other hand crafted gifts from local artists.
When we are not planting or weeding I escape to the shed to make handbuilt, one of a kind ceramic dishes and platters that are functional and food safe. I also make decorative birds and signs for the home or garden. All my pieces are fired in kilns run entirely on solar power, so you can purchase gifts while keeping the environment in mind.
